Radio Poland has started this year’s summer holiday program on 225 kHz longwave, with news in English and German starting about three to five minutes past the hour from 07:00, 08:00 and 09:00 UTC from Mondays through Fridays.
That’s particularly good news as neither the English- nor the German-language transmissions on 1386 kHz via Viesintos, Lithuania, are likely to reach beyond groundwave territory during summer.

An extra perk is the location of the 225-kHz transmitter, as it is located within Poland. Last year, they confirmed my signal report with a QSL card (see above).

It’s worth to listen to all three bulletins a day, as each of them is a different edition.

Foreign-language bulletins on 225 kHz are short though; Polish foreign radio offers more information on its website, in English and German.
